Missing stability: The effect of volatility in the Kosovar party

This Policy Analysis aims at reviewing the situation of the Kosovar party system, as well as its evolution since 2001. The main aim of this effort is to review its, at first sight, high volatility, and its consequences for the system. In order to do that, the following section will present a review of the relevant literature on the field, focusing on the theoretical framework employed for the analysis. Section 3 introduces a historical overview of the different electoral cycles that have taken place thus far in Kosovo. Then, Section 4 will present the main findings of the analysis according to the methodology previously introduced. The last section of the study summarizes the main findings and their potential outcomes.
