GLPS presents the commissioned report on the implementation of the Law on International Agreements to the Commission on Foreign Affairs

On 11 November 2013, Group for Legal and Political Studies presented an assessment report to the parliamentary Commission on Foreign Affairs, entitled: ‘A Policy Assessment of the Implementation and Implications deriving from the Law on International Agreements of the Republic of Kosovo’. The assessment report, commissioned by the Commission on Foreign Affairs, exhibits the core problems relating to the legal harmony between the legislation on conclusions of international agreements and describes the current problems with the implementation of such legislation. The report proposed to the Commission to initiate the revision of the Law on International Agreements of the Republic of Kosovo, with the aim of ensuring that the initiation and conclusion of international agreements on behalf of the Republic of Kosovo follows clear legal and democratic benchmarks. The assessment report was voted unanimously by the Commission on Foreign Affairs, and will be soon processed to the plenary session. The assessment report could be downloaded by clicking here.
