GLPS organized a Press Conference to release the first election monitoring results

May 23, 2014

on 21 May 2014, Group for Legal and Political Studies organized a press conference to release the first election monitoring findings, covering the period from the moment the early elections were decreed to the 20th of May 2014. This first report noted several problems with regard to the misuse of the pre-electoral campaign period for political propaganda referred to the day of elections, with regard to the lack of transparency of the huge financial expenditures for political propaganda of political parties, and with regard to the findings on whether and to what extent did political parties respect their own statutory obligations and internal democracy rules on the nomination of candidates for members of the parliament. Group for Legal and Political Studies will be continuously monitoring the entire election process, and will release press communications and organize press conference on this issue on regular basis.
