GLPS Held a Press Conference to Release the Visa-Liberalization Policy Note

September 23, 2012

On Saturday, 22 September 2012, Group for Legal and Political Studies held a Press Conference on the topic of visa liberalization for Kosovo. GLPS has found that while there has been substantial progress relating to many of the EU’s visa liberalization benchmarks for Kosovo, it is unlikely that the Government of Kosovo will be successful in fulfilling all of the benchmarks in the short term.

GLPS released a Policy Note, entitled Visa Liberalization Process in Kosovo: An Assessment Matrix of Achievements and Challenges, at the September 22 press conference. This Policy Note includes a comprehensive overview of the benchmarks and Kosovo’s standing in relation to each, while also highlighting the challenges that remain for Kosovo on the path to visa liberalization.
