GLPS held a Press Conference to Release the Fourth Assessment Report on Visa Liberalization

On 9 February 2015, Group for Legal and Political Studies held a Press Conference and released a Policy Analysis on the topic of visa liberalization, entitled: “Visa Liberalization Process in Kosovo: An Assessment of Achievements and Challenges of Kosovo in meeting the Visa-Liberalization Roadmap benchmarks”. This Policy Analysis contains a detailed assessment of the progress and challenges in meeting the Visa-Liberalization Roadmap benchmarks, by giving a note in fulfilling the tasks of each Block of the Roadmap. The Policy also highlights the detailed criteria’s that remain to be met during the following months by applying specific indicators, which could help both the EU and the Government of Kosovo to better assess the entire list of individual benchmarks/requirements related to the readmission and reintegration, document security, border and migration management, public order and security, and fundamental rights related to the freedom of movement. Per each of the blocks, specific recommendations represented the achievements of the Republic of Kosovo institutions to implement specific benchmarks grouped according to the associated blocks. This Assessment Policy Analysis is a result of a months-long monitoring of Kosovo institutions performance in meeting the Visa-Liberalization Roadmap criteria.
