“Germany’s Foreign Policy towards Kosovo: Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Chapter 35 and EU Integration Agenda”

On 20 January 2015, Group for Legal and Political Studies hosted a Panel Discussion on the following topic: “Germany’s Foreign Policy towards Kosovo: Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Chapter 35 and EU Integration Agenda”.The aim of the discussion was to analyze Germany’s Foreign Policy towards Kosovo, with a special focus on the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Chapter 35 and Kosovo’s EU integration agenda (including SAA and Visa Liberalization processes).  The panelists highlighted the position of Germany towards Kosovo given that its foreign policy towards Kosovo has had an enormous impact in the status settlement process, developments thereafter, and has specifically helped to further clarify Kosovo’s European perspective within the enlargement policy of the European Union. Furthermore, the panel discussed the importance of Chapter 35 as a significant point that can contribute in normalizing relations between Kosovo and Serbia during the accession negotiations of Serbia in the European Union.
