Launching of the Anti-Corruption Week in Kosovo

On 5 December 2016, Group for Legal and Political Studies (GLPS), together with five other civil society organizations (hereinafter: Coalition of CSO for the Anti-Corruption Week) have officially launched the activities of the “Anti –Corruption Week in Kosovo”, supported by the Embassy of the United States in Kosovo. Under the slogan #bashkeendreqim and #unitedagainstcorruption, this five-day dynamic campaign is consisted of various activities like roundtables, public hearings with the parliamentary Committees, and other symbolic activities such as protests before the Palace of Justice and a concert in the Mother Teresa square. Through this activity the Coalition of CSO’s aims to tackle various problematic issues related to the Anti-Corruption agenda. Topics to be covered include the Public Spending, Laws and Policies in the Fight against Corruption, Integrity and Transparency of Political Parties Financing, Level of Progress in the implementation of the Anti-Corruption Strategy, etc. The Anti-Corruption Week tends to create a momentum for an enhanced public debate on the corruption topic and to gather policy recommendations which would strengthen the efforts towards combating corruption in Kosovo.

The Coalition consists of these organizations: Group for Legal and Political Studies (GLPS), Kosovo Law Institute (KLI), Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI), Institute for Advance Studies (GAP), Çohu and Democracy Plus (D+).
