Civil Society for Human Rights – Tracking Mechanism

August 10, 2018

The mechanism tracks and collects human rights cases of reported violations to Kosovo Institutions including the Kosovo Police, Prosecution, Courts and the Ombudsperson Institution. Specifically, the data collected and tracked includes reports of domestic violence, human trafficking, crimes against LGBTI persons, violence against journalists, etc. The mechanism also looks into case studies investigated by the Kosovo Ombudsperson related to special reports of human rights violations in order to increase awareness and public debates on cases initiated. The mechanism is part of several activities foreseen under the project “Protecting and Promoting Human Rights in Kosovo through Active Civil Society” under the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights, implemented by Kosovar Institute for Policy Research and Development (KIPRED), Group for Legal and Political Studies (GLPS) and Artpolis.
